Interesting reads

  • Geovisualisations can either be interpreted immediately (fast thinking) or require deliberation before comprehension (slow thinking). This article gives examples of the two types of visualisations.
  •  Nice infographic of how the Zuccoti Park in New York has been transformed by Occupy Wall Street into a protest camp. Surely of interest to social geographers looking at dynamics of space. 
  • Big data is still big news. All the data being produced all around the world all the time and stored in large databases = feasts for infovores and analysts.
